Dear Students, Parents and Guardians:
I believe that all students deserve the ability to learn in a safe, suitable for learning, and free from distractions environment. To accomplish this, in addition to the school rules and regulations that must be followed, there will be three additional rules in my classroom:
- Do not disrupt learning (Home Court Advantage)
- Give respect to get respect
- Sportsmanship – everyone has the right to have fun and learn sports at their level
Class Expectations
- Students will dress out for class. This means wearing appropriate gym attire (no jeans) and shoes while following the school dress code. I’d like your ankles to be protected. (Hey Dudes & crocs in sport mode do not do this, but because they have a rubber sole I will allow them…just not preferred)
- No one is to be in my office, storage room or locker rooms without permission.
- There is no leaving the gymnasium
- Remember, this is just a gym class. Be Nice
- There will be no judging…Sportsmanship is a must!
- Participate and have fun! This is not a traditional classroom, your participation is my way of giving grades. I’m not looking for or expecting to see D1 athletes…However, PE is not a study hall/free period.
Grading Policy
- I will be looking for the following 5 things daily.
- Being dressed in gym attire

- Up to 10 points for participation (2 points daily)
- Up to 10 points can be earned for meeting all other expectations. (being in your assigned area ready to stretch when time is up, shows good sportsmanship, shows respect for peers and teacher etc.)
- Up to 5 points for dressing out (1 point per day)
